    Water and sewer district updates projects, starts waterline work in Portage

    BOWLING GREEN — Effective Oct. 21, State Rt. 25 in the village of Portage may be reduced to one lane in each direction for waterline work through February.

    The Northwestern Water and Sewer District project investment is $1.4 million, and it will be complete in April.

    In other district news, the Grassy Creek sewer lining in Rossford and the Farnstead waterline replacement projects are complete, officials said.

    Through December, intermittent lane restrictions are possible throughout the village of McClure for waterline installation. The project investment is $1.7 million and completion is expected in May.

    Through January, Lime City Road, between U.S. Rt. 20 and Deimling Road is closed for waterline and storm sewer installation. Shoulder restrictions are possible through June on Lime City from State Rt. 795 to Route 20 for waterline installation. The project investment is $2.2 million and has a June completion date.

    Intermittent lane restrictions are possible throughout the Starbright subdivision in Perrysburg Township for sewer rehabilitation through December, according to the district’s updates. The project investment is $863,000, and it will be complete in May.

    Lane and shoulder restrictions are possible through October on Dixie Highway, between Eagle Point Road and Rossway Avenue in Rossford, for waterline replacement. The project investment is $212,000, and it will be complete in November.

    Through November, intermittent road closures and lane restrictions are possible in Rossford on Rosedale Place, Island View Drive, Maybar Drive, Schreier Road, Elm Tree Road, Rossway Avenue, and Bergin Street for waterline installation. The project investment is $2 million, and it is slated for completion in December.

    The district delivers water and sewer services to more than 20,000 customers in Wood, Henry, Sandusky, and Hancock counties.
