    Religious Offerings: 60 years of LoSalem

    LoSalem Missionary Baptist Church celebrates its 60th church anniversary with a special service at 10 a.m. Sunday.

    Pastor Damon Horton of Corinth Baptist Church will be the guest speaker.

    LoSalem, located at 660 Vance St., Toledo, was founded by the late Rev. H.V. Savage in 1964 and is currently pastored by his son, John Savage.

    ■ Sacred Grounds Toledo is hosting a Tools for Bringing Nature Home workshop on how to transform an outdoor space using native plants.

    Leaders will discuss different types of wildlife gardens, the benefits of incorporating native plants, and tips on planning and maintaining a native plant garden. Attendees will receive free native plants to start their own spaces.

    The program runs from 1 to 4:30 p.m. Sunday at the Farmhouse, 3188 OH-120, Metamora, Ohio. An optional tour of the church grounds will follow.

    The annual Sacred Grounds Toledo Celebration & Networking event will follow the workshop at 4:30 p.m. and is open to participants of and those interested in the program. Register at bit.ly/SGTCelebrate .

    ■ Toledoans are set to participate Saturday in the annual A21 Walk for Freedom against human trafficking. It’s a slow, single-file, silent walk meant to symbolize the movement toward freedom from human trafficking.

    The event starts at 8:30 a.m. at Summit Toledo, 23 N. Summit St. and the walk around downtown Toledo starts at 9 a.m.

    Participants are encouraged to wear black, distribute fact sheets, and carry signs.

    Money raised will support the work of A21, a global non-profit that advocates against human trafficking and supports survivors. Cornerstone Church is partnering with A21 for the walk.

    ■ St. John Lutheran Church in Port Clinton holds its annual Fall Festival on Saturday.

    Vendors will send hand-crafted items and themed baskets will be raffled off. Lunch offerings include soups, salads, sandwiches, and desserts. Proceeds benefit Lutheran World Disaster Relief and improvement projects at St. John.

    The festival is from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the church parish hall, 207 Adams St., Port Clinton.
