A University of Toledo football walk-on has been arrested and suspended indefinitely from the team for causing serious injury after punching a male in the face.

Peyton Reasonover was arrested for allegedly assaulting someone on the UT campus on Oct. 9.

According to police records, Reasonover, 20, punched the victim in the face with a closed fist, resulting in a closed fracture to the left orbital floor and a closed fracture of the ethmoid bone.

On Wednesday, Reasonover was arrested and charged with felonious assault, a second-degree felony. He is due in court on Oct. 23 for a preliminary hearing.

The police report states Reasonover “did knowingly cause serious physical harm to the victim…”

Reasonover is a Toledo native and a former Central Catholic standout, earning first-team All-Ohio and first-team All-Three Rivers Athletic Conference honors. He played one game for the Rockets in 2022 and all 14 last season, mostly on special teams, finishing with 10 total tackles.
