To Keep Or To Trash: A Box Of Memories With Your Ex

Amy asked members of The Bobby Bones Show if it is okay to keep a memory box of things from exes.

She and her friends were talking about boxes of things they used to keep. Amy used to have one of the things from her High School and College boyfriend, but when she got engaged, she threw them out. Now, she’s wishing she kept them because of the memories. While she was moving, she found an old mixtape CD her college boyfriend made her and it brought back some nice memories, so she’s wondering if it’s okay to hold on to stuff that your ex gave you.

Bobby Bones and Eddie said no because you don’t want it to be accidentally found by your current partner. Lunchbox shared he still has picture with exes because they went to some cool places. His wife developed old film she found and there were pictures of him making out with other girls on it before he met her. Everyone agreed it’s different if you have kids with your ex though. Amy has a box full of cards that her ex-husband gave her throughout their marriage and she wants to hold on to them in case her kids want to look at them one day. Morgan made her ex-boyfriend take all his things, including all their photos, together because she didn’t want to see them anymore or find them around the house months later. Everyone agreed that you should get rid of things from your ex once you have a new partner!
