A few weeks ago, Lunchbox shared that he got a parking ticket for parking on the wrong side of the road. There’s only street parking in his neighborhood so he’s always parked on the side of the road even if the spot meant his car would be facing the opposite side. He had never gotten a ticket for it prior to this incident. The ticket was $70, and he was so upset about it, he said he was going to fight it and represent himself in court.

After talking it over with his “co-counsel” he decided to fold and pay the ticket. His co-counsel was his neighbor who told him he’d come to court as his witness and testify that they do it all the time and never had gotten tickets. They realized that might make the situation worse. He also realized he couldn’t deny that he parked the wrong way because the person who issued the ticket probably had pictures of it. So, he would just go to court to say he thinks it’s a stupid rule. He knew he didn’t have a good case, so he folded and paid the $70. He admitted he felt like a sissy for not fighting it.
