Bobby Surprises Listener & Rising Artist Jayson Arendt With Exciting News

About a year ago, listener Jayson Arendt called into The Bobby Bones Show to share that he is a brand-new artist and wanted to play his music. He was a college baseball player who would play shows around town and started growing a fan base!

Bobby Bones surprised him with exciting news that he will be playing his song “My July” on the Country Top30 Countdown which you can hear every weekend across the country! He was so thrilled to hear the news! He shared “My July” happened when he was in the studio recording one of his other songs and his producer showed him the song. Instantly he could feel it was different and thought it was cool and knew it had a lot of potential. The song went through many different phases until they finally got it to sound like something he would like to play live, and his fans would enjoy. It is not his most requested song at his shows!

Arendt graduated this past May and up until that point, baseball was the main focal point. He worked in construction for a few months, but his music really started to take off, so he quit. He is now touring and pursing music full time. He drives his truck attached to a trailer across the country to play shows. He does feel like his shows are growing, his first show after graduation was only in front of 45 people. Since then, there’s upwards of 800 to 1,000 people per show.
