NFA’s Molly Page was voted The Bulletin Athlete of the Week for Week 7 of the spring season. The Wildcats junior scored four goals and dished out two assists in leading NFA to an 8-7 girls lacrosse win over Ledyard.

Last week saw plenty of standout performances in baseball, softball, girls lacrosse, and boys volleyball across Eastern Connecticut. While there's no shortage of talent, we went and found the best of the best.

Did your hometown hero make the list?

The Norwich Bulletin has you covered for what's happening this spring at Norwich Free Academy, Killingly High School, Plainfield High School, Griswold High School, Norwich Technical School, and Harvard Ellis Technical School.

Please vote now for The Bulletin “Athlete of the Week”' for the eighth week of the spring season. Voting closes at 12 p.m. on Friday. You can cast your vote below.

    Here are the nominees:

    Samantha Baker, Killingly

Killingly sophomore pitcher struck out nine and allowed just three earned runs to earn the complete game win as Killingly edged St. Bernard, 5-4, at the annual Morgan Ross Fundraiser softball game. Killingly (11-9, 4-2 in ECC Div II) finished the regular season by winning six of their last seven games.

    Randy Jiminez, Norwich Free Academy

The Wildcats senior outfielder/pitcher had three hits in a 9-1 win over Ledyard as NFA clinched a berth in the CIAC state baseball tournament with their eighth victory.

    Bradley Martell, Norwich Tech

The Warriors junior outside hitter had 13 kills in a 3-0 win over Cheney Tech as Norwich Tech qualified for the state boys volleyball tournament for the first time in program history. Martell also had 12 digs and seven kills in a 3-0 win over Wolcott Tech.
