BFA standout named 2024 Vermont high school football preseason player of the year

After a week of voting, Burlington Free Press readers have picked this year's Vermont high school football preseason player of the year: Corey McNulty of BFA-St. Albans

McNulty, a senior who plays defensive end and tight end, tallied 27.81% of the 3,826 votes cast in online voting that began last Friday and concluded 11:59 p.m. Thursday.

All 30 teams in Vermont had one player listed on the ballot. Last year, Lyndon's Chase Sanville was the inaugural winner of the BFP preseason player of the year fan voting .

Week 1 of the 2024 season continues Friday night and Saturday afternoon. McNulty and the Bobwhites are playing at Middlebury on Friday for their season-opening contest.
