A major land brokerage and advisory firm is boosting its presence in the Central Valley.

Land Advisors Organization is announcing a pair of key hires and a new office as part of a planned Fresno expansion.

Kurtis Douglas and Sean Mahoney, employed with Gar Bennett, have joined Land Advisors Organization’s agriculture group. They will oversee operations and manage a 1,000 square-foot office at 7473 N. Ingram, Suite 111, in Fresno to serve the area’s farming community.

Land Advisors Organization specialists focus on providing farming operations with needed information to evaluate current land and farm assets, as well as relocation, expansion and marketing operations to investors and developers.

Douglas has taken the role as vice president for the firm’s agriculture group and will serve as an advisor.

Prior to working in the ag industry, Douglas served as a Blackhawk helicopter pilot and is a U.S. Army veteran.

He has a Master of Business Administration from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and a bachelor’s degree from Fresno State.

Mahoney comes from a background in asset management and agribusiness, with over 25 years of experience.

Before joining Land Advisors, he held executive positions in several ag companies, serving growers across the Central Valley.

Tony Eaton, president of Arizona-based Land Advisors Organization, said the firm has been planning its expansion in Fresno for some time, with Douglas and Mahoney joining at just the right time.

“They are part of the fabric of Fresno, and you just can’t replicate that experience or the irreplaceable relationships they have forged over the years. Having Kurtis and Sean on board to serve San Joaquin Valley farmers and the farming community further enhances our ability to meet the growing and complex needs of California’s vast agricultural sector along with the various needs of Valley landowners.”

Established in 1987, Land Advisors Organization has a nationwide presence with more than 90 specialized advisors in 30 offices across 14 states.
