The Valley PBS board is proud to announce Robert Mollison as the new president and CEO after a nationwide search with more than 50 applicants.

Mollison will succeed Jeff Aiello, whose leadership and creative skills guided the station over the past three years, according to a Valley PBS news release.

Mollison’s career at Valley PBS began as director of membership and expanded through roles including director of marketing, director of programming and chief operating officer. His leadership has been pivotal in navigating challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic and the recent fire that destroyed the station’s transmitter and tower, according to the release.

As chief operating officer, Mollison refined the station’s strategic vision, enhanced operational efficiency and ensured compliance with the Federal Communications Commission, Corporation for Public Broadcasting, and PBS standards. His extensive background in media and nonprofit leadership uniquely positions him to guide Valley PBS, according to the release.

“We are excited to welcome Robert as our new President and CEO,” said Jody Graves, board president of Valley PBS. “His extensive experience, deep community ties, and unwavering dedication make him exceptionally well-suited to lead Valley PBS forward.”

Mollison, a Fresno State alumnus, is committed to strengthening Valley PBS’s community connections and driving innovation to serve the diversity of the Central Valley, according to the release.
