Summer Reading Cookout

The Granville County Library System will hots a summer reading cookout on Saturday, Aug. 3 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Lake Rogers at 1718 NC Highway 56, Creedmoor. Bring the family and enjoy a hot dog cookout to celebrate the end of summer reading.

Farmers Market Open

The Creedmoor Community Farmers Market will be open Saturday, Aug. 3 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Creedmoor City Hall at 136 Sanderford St. New vendors my apply online at www.cityofcreedmoor.org/CCFM.

Food Truck Friday

Food Trucks will gather at Gazebo Park in Butner on Friday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on August 9. The vendor lineup includes Smoken Souls BBQ, B Dogs Vending and Frost Bites. Food Truck Fridays take place on the second Friday of each month.

Fall Meal Planning

The NC Cooperative Extension Agency and the South Branch Library will partner for a Fall Meal Planning event from 1 to 2 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 9 at the South Branch Library, 1550 South Campus Dr., Creedmoor.

The event will include information on planning meals, having a versatile pantry, organizing and keeping track of food and more. The public is invited to attend.
