    Narcotics search warrant executed, arrest made

    Butner Public Safety executed a narcotics search warrant on August 2 on F Street after receiving a drug complaint, according to a post on social media.

    Cameron Jachai Hicks, 27, of Butner was arrested after BPS found 393 dosage units of heroin, three firearms, $7,398 in cash, a stolen dirt bike, and drug paraphernalia. All was seized and placed into evidence.

    Hicks was charged with two counts of trafficking opium/heroin, one count of possession with intent to manufacture, sell, and deliver heroin, one count of possession of heroin, one count of maintaining a vehicle for the storage of narcotics, and one count of possession of a stolen motor vehicle.

    Hicks was issued a secured bond $124,000 by Magistrate A. K. Kearney and was placed in the Granville County Detention Center.
