Suspect in local bank robbery arrested in Greensboro

Johnathan Lemount Florence, the suspect in the August 23, 2024, bank robbery at PNC Bank in Creedmoor was arrested in Greensboro Wednesday night by deputies from the Guilford County Sheriff’s Office.

Florence is believed to be the suspect in at least one other bank robbery within the last week as well, according to police.

“This arrest is a testament to the outstanding law enforcement from federal, state, and local agencies that we have developed over the years,” said Creedmoor Police Chief Troy Wheless. “We would like to thank all of our law enforcement partners for helping us locate and remove this subject from our communities.”

An undisclosed amount of money was taken in the Creedmoor robbery.
