James Allen Clack, 77, of Oxford, has been arrested for 12 counts of indecent liberties with a child. The Granville County Sheriff’s Office confined Clack to the Granville County Detention Center on Sept. 24.

Clack has three separate warrants for the changes. Two of the warrants have a single charge of indecent liberties with a child and the bond is set at $35,000 for each offense.

The third warrant lists 10 counts of indecent liberties with a child and has a $350,000 bond amount.

Clack was booked under General Statute 14-202.1. (2)  which describes the definition of indecent liberties with a child as: Willfully commits or attempts to commit any lewd or lascivious act upon or with the body or any part or member of the body of any child of either sex under the age of 16 years.

The offenses are reported to have occurred between 2015 and 2021.

Clack was scheduled to make his first appearance in court Sept. 25.
