    Area arrest reports released

    Butner Public Safety

    July 19, PSO B. J. Parkstone arrested Mantrel Tyrek Allen, 22, of Franklinton, for an outstanding warrant for soliciting gang activity and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Allen was issued an unsecured bond of $35,000 by Magistrate H. G. Herring Jr. and was released.

    July 20, PSO C. D. Coeburn arrested Edward Lawrence Williams Jr, 24, of Raleigh, for an warrant for two counts of careless and reckless driving, two counts of conspiracy, and one count of ATV on the road. Williams was issued a secured bond of $4,000 by Magistrate C. P. Bostic and was placed in the Granville County Detention Center.

    July 21, property damage was reported on Longwood Drive. The suspect(s) slashed the victim’s tires.

    July 21, PSO A. H. Creech arrested Michael Brandon Long, 33, of Creedmoor, for and outstanding warrant for assault by pointing a gun, assault with a deadly weapon, and discharging a firearm in city limits. Long was issued a secured bond of $6,000 by Magistrate C. P. Bostic and was placed in the Granville County Detention Center.

    July 21, a larceny from a motor vehicle was reported on Highway 56. The suspect stole the victim’s firearm.

    July 22, PSO L. T. Wilson arrested Darquawn Cozart, 34, of Oxford, for an outstanding warrant for misdemeanor larceny. Cozart was issued no bond by Magistrate R. R. Roberts Jr. and was placed in the Granville County Detention Center.

    July 23, an assault was reported on Highway 56.

    July 25, PSO M. Dominguez arrested Randy Bernice Page Jr., 33, of Durham, for an outstanding warrant, for breaking and entering into a motor vehicle, larceny by changing a price tag, financial card theft, misdemeanor larceny, and possession of stolen property. Page was issued a secured bond $40,500 by Magistrate C. P. Bostic and was placed in the Granville County Detention Center.

    July 25, PSO M. Dominguez served a criminal summons on Samantha Drew Messer, 20, of Butner, for misdemeanor larceny. Messer was issued a court date and ordered to appear in court.

    Creedmoor Police Department

    July 11, assault on a female was reported to Creedmoor Police Department.

    July 11, a larceny occurred on Apple Street. The victim declined prosecution.

    July 27, Rodney Jermaine Ragland, 40, of Oxford was arrested for driving under the influence, driving while license revoked, (impaired revocation),  exceeding posted speed  Ragland was issued a $2,000 secured bond by Magistrate R. Roberts.

    July 28, Joshua Justice, 39, of Raleigh, was served a warrant for breaking and entering, terroize/injure, larceny after breaking and entering, crime of domestic violence. He was charged with carrying a concealed weapon and traffic offenses (except DWI).

    July 28, communication threats, verbally communicating threats to harm the victim was reported from a residence on Apple Street.

    Granville County Sheriff’s Office

    July 26, Alicia Nicole Grenard, 35, of Oxford, was a weekender serving sentence and was released July 30.
