    Preddy receives District 3 top honors

    Georgia Preddy earned special recognition from the North Carolina Coaches Association this season.

    Preddy, a 2024 graduate of South Granville, earned District 3 Player of the Year for the 2A classification honors.

    Preddy, an infielder and part-time pitcher for the South Granville Vikings, played in 25 games this season and finished with a .554 batting average.

    Preddy, a left-handed hitter, went to the plate 89 time and had 36 hits, that includes nine doubles, seven triples and three home runs.  She scored 46 times and had 29 runs batted in. She drew 20 walks and struck out only six times during the season.

    As an infielder, Preddy had a near perfect season making 31 of 32 chances to record an out.

    She made eight appearances in the circle for the Vikings, working 28.1 innings. She allowed 31 hits, issued 16 walks and struck out 46 batters.

    Preddy will attend South Carolina Upstate and play softball for the Spartans.
