Plainview opened scoring in the top of the first with a run, taking quick 1-0 lead. However, Garrett Konz cracked a 2 out single for Caledonia in the bottom of the first, followed by a walk to Ayden Goetzinger and an RBI single by Gabe Morey, tying the score at 1-1. Konz lead off the 3rd inning with a hit, stole second base and eventually scored on a Goetzinger groundout for a 2-1, Warrior lead. <nbtemplate data-id="AdPlaceholder" data-content="JTdCJTdE"></nbtemplate> Payton Konz started off the bottom of the 4th with a hit. Owen Denstad followed with a bunt single and Kyle Bechtel scored Konz with a base hit to left field for a 3-1 lead. Goetzinger did a great job on the mound, keeping PEM off the bases and off balance as Post 191 held a 3-1 lead into the 6th inning. A couple Warrior miscues on defense allowed PEM to tie the game at 3-3, as we went into the home half of the 7th inning. Garrett Konz stayed hot at the plate, however, and delivered a base hit to start the inning. A Goetzinger ground ball forced out Konz at second, but Goetzinger eventually advance to second. Gabe Morey then delivered a big base hit to right field, allowing Goetzinger to barely beat the throw home. Post 191 walked off with a 4-3 victory. Morey and Garrett Konz each had 3 hits. Morey had 2 RBI’s. Goetzinger threw 6 innings, striking out 6. Garrett Konz pitched the final inning to pick up the win.
