    Caledonia/Houston wrestling comes away 1-1 at triangular in St. Charles

    Caledonia/Houston wrestling ventured to St. Charles to face off against the St. Charles and Dover-Eyota wrestling teams for a triangular meet.

    Caledonia/Houston fell to the Dover-Eyota Eagles by a score of 39-24 but came back and beat St. Charles 45-27.

    The first dual’s results versus the Eagles are as follows: Aiden Burns (Cal/Hou) won his match via decision (6-0) over Max Loftus at 107; Mason Van Gundy (Cal/Hou) lost via fall (0:51) vs Bronson Shea at 114, Carter Shea overcame Aaren Kulas via fall at 121, and Caden Hauser (Cal/Hou) fell via fall (1:48) to Corban Allen at 127.

    Braxton Lange (Cal/Hou) got another win via major decision (12-2) versus Caden Haag at 133, Isaac Blocker (Cal/Hou) fell via decision (5-0) against Bolton Thesing at 139, and Tanner Ginther (Cal/Hou) pinned Cooper Hansen at 145. Owen Denstad (Cal/Hou) continued his reign of dominance by beating Damon Bye via technical fall by a score of 25-9 at 152.

    Will Allen (Cal/Hou) won by decision over Talen Rabe (6-5) at 160, Carter Hammell won by fall over Max Schmitz (Cal/Hou) at 172, Aden Kulas (Cal/Hou) won by decision over Tayden Ludescher (4-2) at 189, Anthony Von Arx fell by pin to William Halbakken at 215, and finally Aidan Gasper pinned Logan Kinstler (Cal/Hou) at 285 to seal the win for Dover-Eyota.

    The second dual at the triangular was against St. Charles, and the results are as follows: Aidan Burns (Cal/Hou) beat Miles Barclay via fall at 107, Mason Van Gundy (Cal/Hou) was defeated by Crosby Kobs at 114. Aaren Kulas fell via pin to Benett Boyum at 121, and Caden Hauser (Cal/Hou) took the win via forfeit at 127.

    Braxton Lange (Cal/Hou) pinned Cmarion Haley at 133, Isaac Blocker (Cal/Hou) pinned Cmarion Haley at 139, and Tanner Ginther (Cal/Hou) won by decision over Gavin Glover (7-5) at 145. Owen Denstad (Cal/Hou) cruised to victory via pin over Jonas Barclay at 152.

    Greyson Mauskemo won via decision over Will Allen (Cal/Hou) (5-4) at 160, Bryndon Koeppel pinned Max Schmitz (Cal/Hou) at 172, Aden Kulas (Cal/Hou) pinned Alex Burlingame at 189, Anthony Von Arx (Cal/Hou) was pinned by Matthew Storm at 215, and Logan Kinstler (Cal/Hou) won via forfeit at 285, allowing Caledonia to take the win in their second dual of the night.

    Next up for the Caledonia/Houston wrestling team is a triangular at Houston Friday, Feb. 9.
