The Caledonia/Spring Grove/Houston gymnastics team took part in the Southeast Minnesota Conference Meet on Saturday, Feb. 10 and scored its highest team score of the year, achieving one of its goals for the year.

Kasson-Mantorville hosted the Southeast Minnesota Conference Meet this year, with the K-M/Triton team attending. Also competing were Byron, Pine Island/Zumbrota-Mazeppa(PIZM), Stewartville/Chatfield, La Crescent, and the Warriors gymnastics team.

The Warriors achieved one of their season goals of scoring over 130 as a team. Their score for the conference meet came out to 131.550, which put them in fourth, just after K-M/Triton gymnastics.

Individually, the girls did well throughout the competition. All-around saw Vivian Kittleson score the highest with 33.900 for the Warriors, followed by Harper Myrah at 33.250, and then Paizley Lange at 33.025.

On vault, Vivian Kittleson scored the highest with an 8.650, followed by Harper Myrah at 8.575, and then Paizley Lange with an 8.500.

On bars, Paizley Lange took 2nd overall with a score of 8.050, Kittleson was 2nd highest on the team with a 7.775, and Myrah took 3rd on the team with a 7.325.

For beam, Kittleson was 4th highest score overall with an 8.575, Myrah took 5th right behind Kittleson with a 8.550, and Lange was 3rd on the team with a score of 8.075.

Finally, for the floor routines, Kittleson scored highest for the Warriors with an 8.900, followed by Myrah again with an 8.800, and then Madelyn Foellmi with a score of 8.750.

“Wow, what an exciting meet," coach Kettner said. "The athletes were really focused and had great energy all night. Our biggest highlight of the night has to be our team score of 131.55, which helped us crush our team goal from pre-season."

She continued, "The girls have been working hard all season to achieve this goal. Notable individual performances include those from Harper Myrah, Paizley Lange, and Vivian Kittleson. All three received all-conference honors for their performances. We are eager to continue this momentum into sectionals next week.”

The gymnastics team will compete at the section competition Saturday, Feb. 17 in Rochester.
