Delegate Williams re-appointed to State Crime Commission

    2024-05-23

STUART — Speaker of the House Don Scott recently reappointed Delegate Wren Williams to serve on the Virginia State Crime Commission and the New College Institute Board of Directors. Both appointments are two-year terms coinciding with Delegate Williams’ term in office.

“I am deeply honored to have been reappointed to the Virginia State Crime Commission and the New College Institute Board of Directors,” said Williams. “Both of these groups play a critical role in furthering Virginia’s safety and success. I am committed to working alongside other community leaders and professionals to address critical issues facing our communities.”

The Virginia State Crime Commission exists to study, report, and make recommendations in all areas of public safety and protection. This commission is made up of members of the General Assembly, a representative of the Attorney General’s office, and citizen members appointed by the Governor.

New College Institute, located in Martinsville, VA, is a premier center of learning for the Southside and Southwest Virginia regions. Providing access to degrees, credentials, and professional learning opportunities, New College Institute promotes economic prosperity and community transformation. The Board of Directors is made up of members of the General Assembly and leading business and industry leaders from across Virginia.
