Allen Family Reunion set for July 20

All Allen Family descendants and friends are invited to gather for a wonderful family reunion, July 20th, 11 a.m.-5 p.m., Sky View Missionary Baptist Church Gymnasium, 129 Skyview Dr., Fancy Gap, Va. 24328, located beside the J. Sidna Allen Home in Fancy Gap

The meat entree, lemonade, tea, water, plates, cups and plasticware will be furnished. Please bring a vegetable, salad or dessert to share at 1 pm.

Monetary donations for the entrée, supplies and use of church is appreciated and will be received at the reunion. We will have tables for viewing family photos, historic artifacts and sharing genealogy information. One of the cousins will be scanning family photos and documents on-site. Some informal games will also be available. Of course, there will be plenty of time for visiting with each other.

Let’s be a part of the restoration of the J. Sidna Allen House by helping the Carroll County Historical Society. Donations for the effort will be received at the reunion and given to the historical society. The society has been diligent in fund raising for the restoration for several years.
