(The Center Square) – After being called a “real loser” by former President Donald Trump, Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker said it’s Trump who is the loser.

Elon Musk, the owner of X, formerly Twitter, hosted a more than two hour discussion with Trump on the social media platform Monday, where Trump discussed being shot in the ear, the economy, foreign and domestic policy and government efficiency.

Trump wants to get rid of the U.S. Department of Education and said some states will do well, but not others.

“I got so many friends that are in those states, even if they’re Democrats, I hate to mention certain states, but Illinois is badly run with Pritzker,” Trump said. “He’s a real loser.”

Musk made a comment about how governors from Democrat run states should get “U-Haul salesman of the year awards” for population decline. Trump piled on.

“You can’t penalize people that loan money to the state when you have incompetent people like a Pritzker, look the family didn’t want him in the family business and he ends up being governor of Illinois,” Trump said.

Asked for a response at the Illinois State Fair on Wednesday, Pritzker said it’s Trump who is the loser.

“Donald Trump was a loser in 2020. He was a loser in 2022 when he tried to endorse a bunch of people for office. He’s going to lose again in 2024,” Pritzker told reporters. “We’re going to have Kamala Harris winning this race all over the country. We know who the winners are and Donald Trump is the loser.”

Trump is expected to go up against Harris in November. Harris could secure the official nomination from Democrats at their national convention in Chicago next week.
