House Bill 5875 says anyone who is not a citizen of the U.S. and knowingly registers would be guilty of a Class 4 felony. It levels the same penalties for anyone who knowingly registers a person to vote who is not a citizen. The measure isn’t expected to advance.

People can vote for the project among 11 others at AmericasTransportationAwards.org , a part of the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials.
