    High winds spur field fires

Dry and windy conditions led to field fires around Illinois on Sunday.

The National Weather Service issued an elevated fire danger for multiple counties in central Illinois. A large fire overtook a field in Sullivan on Sunday afternoon.

According to the Sullivan Fire Protection District, firefighters from Sullivan, Bethany and Lovington responded to reports of a fire about 2:30 p.m. About the same time, the Argenta-Oreana Fire Department battled a field fire northeast of Decatur.

    Man falls at Starved Rock

A Waukegan man remains hospitalized after falling over 80 feet at Starved Rock State Park over the weekend.

According to the Utica Fire Protection District, the man fell Saturday afternoon in the area of Hennepin Canyon Overlook. Due to the terrain where he fell, crews had to use a high-angle rope rescue system.

    Richest Illinoisans listed

The wealthiest person in Illinois doesn't break into the top-20 richest people in the country.

According to the Forbes 400, Lukas Walton’s net worth has risen to nearly $34 billion, leaving him as the richest person in Illinois and the 25th richest nationally. Walton is the grandson of Walmart founder Sam Walton.

Patrick Ryan, CEO and founder of Ryan Specialty Holdings, ranks second in Illinois with a fortune of $12.3 billion. Gov. J.B. Pritzker’s net worth of $3.7 billion ranks him 359th nationally.
