Register for Junior Police Academy
The Junior Police Academy in Cherry Hill is accepting registrations for a week-long program designed to instruct youth on law enforcement, public safety and teamwork. Participants will engage in hands-on activities, meet local officers and gain insights into police operations. The academy curriculum is developed by the police to emphasize physical fitness, being drug free and other qualities.
Juried art exhibit continues
The Art Blooms juried exhibit at Croft Farm in Cherry Hill will remain on display through Thursday, May 16. The free showcase features original two-dimensional works in watercolor; pastels; and oils, among other mediums. Most of the art is available for purchase, and neither the Cherry Hill Arts Board nor the township itself will take a commission for any sales.

Cherry Hill Police seek witness to hit and run accident
Release is according to the Cherry Hill Police Department. On Sunday April 28, 2024 at approximately 12:21 a.m. Cherry Hill Police responded to the area of Route 38 and Longwood Avenue for the report of two pedestrians struck by a vehicle. An adult male and an adult female attempted to cross Rt. 38 at Longwood Avenue. At the same time, a vehicle was traveling westbound on Rt. 38 at the intersection. The vehicle struck both pedestrians and continued westbound on Rt. 38. The victims were transported to the hospital with non-fatal injuries. The striking vehicle is reported to be a dark colored pick-up truck, possibly a Chevrolet or GMC, with damage to the front driver’s side near the headlight assembly.

An Asian American and Pacific Islander festival will take place from noon to 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 5 at Cherry Hill High School West. Community celebrates revitalization of dog park
After several years of planning, the Camden County Commissioners cut the ribbon on April 25 for a revitalized dog park at Cooper River Park. The initiative came from Collingswood resident Tom Masullo – a regular at the park with his dog Connor – and a team of other community members from the Cherry Hill area.
