A new app for Cherry Hill launched earlier this month is helping residents stay up to date on township events and allows for more direct communication with residents. “We’ve taken a critical look at all of our means of communication including the weekly mayor’s message,” explained Mayor David Fleisher. “The goal was for everything to be just a click away for our residents. The thought process is we want to meet residents where they are, whenever and however they need to interact with the township.”

Free tree seedlings
Cherry Hill residents can pick up free tree seedlings on Sunday, April 28, from 1 to 3 p.m. at Croft Farm, part of the New Jersey Forest Service’s tree recovery campaign. Seedlings will be available on a first-come, first-served basis, and include instructions on how to store, care for and plant the trees. ‘Struggles and Triumphs’: A journey towards egg-cellence
Cherry Hill egg sculptor Cherie Lee was one of eight interdisciplinary finalists to receive funding from the New Jersey State Council of the Arts in March. Although she has worked with a number of materials, for Lee, eggshells have been the canvas of her choice. Throughout her 40 years as an egg carver, Lee has carved hundreds of eggs using a dental drill. The process can vary and take as many as 80 hours of drill time over the course of a month. Her work has been featured using chicken, duck, and ostrich eggs.
‘It’s an absolutely gorgeous place’
The Pinelands 2024 Juried Photographic Exhibition is in its sixth year capturing the “unique, mysterious, and charming characteristics” of the Pinelands.
