Those attending the Hub City Car Show in downtown Centralia on Saturday, Aug. 24, also have the chance to meet and get an autograph from a member of the 2014 Super Bowl XLVIII champion Seattle Seahawks.

Keiper’s Cards owner Dan Keiper will host a card show from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., It will feature an appearance by former Seahawk defensive tackle Joseph “Red” Bryant from 1 to 2 p.m.

“I’ve been texting Red and he’s super excited to come meet all the fans here in the area,” Keiper said.

According to Keiper, Bryant is planning to bring his Super Bowl ring.

The card show will be held where Keiper’s Cards is located in the Tower Avenue Mall at 320 N. Tower Ave.

Originally from Jasper, Texas, Bryant was a defensive tackle who played at Texas A&M before being drafted by the Seahawks in 2008.

He went on to block four kicks during the 2011 season, breaking the Seahawks’ single-season record, and later became a team captain during the 2012-13 season.

During that season, his efforts helped the Seahawks attain the top-ranked defense in the NFL. He and the team went on to beat the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl XLVIII, winning the Seahawks’ first and only Lombardi Trophy in franchise history.

Following that season, he left Seattle but played for two more years in the NFL, signing with the Jacksonville Jaguars, Buffalo Bills and Arizona Cardinals.

For those looking to get Bryant’s autograph but won’t be able to make it to the card show, Keiper is doing mail-in autographs for those who bring in items for Bryant to sign ahead of time for $60, plus an additional $10 for an inscription. Deadline for that is Monday, Aug. 19.

Fans who can make it to the show on Aug. 24 can pre-purchase an autograph at Keiper’s Cards for $45 or purchase one on the day of the show for $50.

“In-house inscriptions are $5 each,” Keiper added.

Vendor spots at the show are also available for $25.

He will have some cards and 8-by-10 photos of Bryant available for purchase for autographs, but fans are invited to bring whatever they want signed.

Toward the end of the card show, starting at 6 p.m., Keiper will also host a card trading night, where local collectors are invited to bring their prized pulls to trade with fellow collectors.

Keiper’s Cards is open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sundays.
