The streets of downtown Centralia will once again be filled with classic and custom cars, live music and more on Saturday, Aug. 24, for the annual Hub City Car Show, organized by the Downtown Centralia Festivals Association and the Lewis County Quarter Milers car club.

Over 300 vehicles are expected to fill the streets of downtown Centralia for the show from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. along North Tower Avenue, from West Maple Street down to East Locust Street, according to the Hub City Car Show’s Facebook event page.

Last year’s show had 302 official entrants with more unregistered cars parked in city parking lots along North Tower Avenue, according to previous reporting by The Chronicle.

Free to attend, registration for those looking to enter their cars in the Hub City Car Show costs $25 per vehicle. Those planning to enter are advised to get there early.

Pre-registration can be made by visiting The Shady Lady at 216 N. Tower Ave. or by calling 360-736-4333.

All proceeds from the show go to fund Centralia College scholarships and maintenance of Central Park in downtown Centralia.

Entrants can also pre-register at the car show’s kickoff barbecue at Ken’s Bi Right Motors, located at 515 W. Main St. in Centralia, the day before the Hub City Car Show on Friday, Aug. 23, at 5 p.m.

On Saturday, local bands will be playing live music for the show, and a car will be raffled off once again. Last year, Powersports Northwest donated a 2018 Yamaha YXZ 1000 side-by-side off-road utility vehicle for the raffle.

Following the end of the show, the Hub City Car Show Afterparty will take place at The Juice Box, located at 216 S. Tower Ave., with music by The Backlash Band. Free to attend, doors for the show open at 7 p.m., and music begins at 8 p.m.
