Leadership Chilton course graduates first class

The Leadership Chilton class coordinated by the Chilton County Alabama Extension Office graduated its first group of 16 individuals who completed the eight-month course. Leadership Chilton held a graduation ceremony at Helen Jenkins Chapel in Thorsby on May 22 to recognize the graduates of the class.

The graduates spent numerous sessions traveling to local landmarks, learning history about Chilton County and visiting with state officials about topics related to the area. They also learned skill sets such as leadership and teamwork that can be used in their own line of work as well.

“This class is an extraordinary group of leaders, and we are excited to see what the future holds for each of them,” a press release from the Chilton County Alabama Extension Office said.
