COLUMBIA, S.C. − There is some upward movement for Ole Miss football in this week's polls.

The Rebels beat South Carolina 27-3 in impressive fashion on Saturday. It was a much-needed rebound after a home loss to Kentucky.

There was chaos across the SEC yesterday. No. 1 Alabama lost 40-35 at Vanderbilt and No. 4 Tennessee lost 19-14 at Arkansas. No. 9 Missouri also lost, in a 41-10 blowout at No. 25 Texas A&M.

Those losses created room for Ole Miss , which entered the week at No. 11 in the US LBM coaches poll and No. 12 in the AP poll, to move up. The Rebels jumped to No. 8 in the coaches poll and to No. 9 in the AP Top 25.
