CLEMSON — Clemson cornerback Avieon Terrell spoke to the media following Friday’s practice at Jervey Meadows.

Terrell, who played at Westlake High School in Atlanta, says he is excited for the 14th-ranked Tigers’ opportunity to open the season against No. 1 Georgia at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta on Aug. 31, as part of the Chick-fil-A Kickoff Classic.

“It is going to be a great experience,” he said. “We are in my city. We are in Georgia, so it is only right that I put on a show for my crowd. I can’t wait to play. My brother is going to walk us out.”

Terrell’s brother is former Clemson great A.J. Terrell, who played for the Tigers from 2017-’19. Terrell is now an All-Pro cornerback for the NFL’s Atlanta Falcons.

A.J. Terrell was a part of Clemson’s 15-0 National Championship Team in 2018. He intercepted a pass against Alabama in the title game and returned it for a touchdown, the opening score of the game.
