Clemson 'Without a Doubt' One of Top Schools for New QB Offer

Brock Bradley is very familiar with Clemson and most of the coaching staff is just as familiar with him.

The 3-star quarterback (Spain Park, AL), who is entering his junior year of high school, has been camping at Clemson since he was in the seventh grade, with this summer being no different.

“I thought I threw it well,” Bradley told The Clemson Insider. “It was cool to get out there and to work with the coaches. That was the biggest thing. So it was a lot of fun.”

Since his workout back on June 4, head coach Dabo Swinney and offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Garrett Riley have been keeping in touch, and the longer the communication has gone on, the better Bradley has liked his chances of picking up an offer.

“I’ve been in contact with coach Riley and coach Swinney since camp,” Bradley said. “And like I said, I thought I threw it well. And after camp coach Swinney had talked to me a lot, and I definitely had a special feeling about it after camp.”

On Thursday, it finally happened. Swinney called Bradley and made it official.

“He’s been calling me since camp, checking in on me,” Bradley added. “But he texted me at the beginning of the week saying he was going to be calling me on Thursday night. So I was kind of expecting it. Then he called me and he offered.”

And it’s an offer that stands out to the young signal caller.

“I was super-excited,” Bradley said. “Obviously, the Clemson offer is super-special to anyone because they offer not a lot of guys. So it was a cool feeling for coach Swinney to show that he believes in me.”

On top of attending camp this summer, Bradley visited three times last season, attending the Wake Forest, Georgia Tech and North Carolina contests.

“They’re different. In good ways,” Bradley added. “They don’t offer a lot of guys, so that stands out to me. And then just the way coach Swinney develops his players and his program. It is a cool way that they do things over there.”

Clemson already has one quarterback committed in the 2026 class, with 4-star Tait Reynolds announcing a commitment earlier this summer. However, with the Tigers not taking a quarterback in 2024, the staff is looking to add a second to the 2026 class.

West Virginia, Cincinnati, Wake Forest, Texas A&M and Tulane have all offered Bradley as well, and are some of the other schools recruiting him the hardest. And while he has yet to firm up any timeline on making a decision, Bradley says the Tigers’ past success with quarterbacks has the school high on his board.

“They’re definitely near the top. Without a doubt,” Bradley said. “I’ve watched Clemson for quite a while and coach Swinney and coach Riley’s track record of developing quarterbacks, they’ve done that at a high level. That definitely puts them pretty high on my board.”
