A Clemson pledge opened his senior campaign with a bang this past weekend.

Clemson four-star class of 2025 defensive back commit Tae Harris made big plays on both sides of the ball in his Cedartown (Ga.) High School squad’s 24-3 win over Rockmart (Ga.) High on Saturday.

Harris racked up 10 tackles and forced a fumble, while also chipping in a rushing touchdown for good measure.

The 6-foot, 195-pounder put his elite speed and physicality on display during the contest, showing why he is widely considered a top-100 national prospect overall and ranked as one of the five best safeties in the country by multiple recruiting services.

Harris, one of 15 total pledges in Clemson football’s 2025 recruiting class, committed to Clemson on March 18 after decommitting from Georgia on Jan. 21.

A back-to-back region track champion with a sub-4.4 40 time, Harris earlier this year posted a personal record of 10.60 in the 100-meter dash, and a personal record of 21.70 in the 200-meter dash — both of which are new school records.

Harris recently announced that he will be a multi-sport athlete in college and plans to run track for the Tigers as well.
