    When you know, you know.

Such was the case for quarterback Brock Bradley, as the 3-star quarterback (Spain Park, AL) announced a commitment to Clemson late Wednesday, less than one week after picking up his offer from the Tigers. Bradley also had offers from more than a dozen other schools, including Wake Forest, West Virginia, Cincinnati and Texas A&M.

“I’ve always thought that if Clemson were to offer me, they’d be at the top of my list,” Bradley told The Clemson Insider. “But after talking that over with my family that week, prior to committing, I just really weighed out all the options and I just felt like Clemson was the spot for me.”

Bradley has been camping at Clemson since he was a seventh-grader, with the high school junior growing more than familiar with Dabo Swinney’s program over the years.

“When the man picks up the phone and calls… meaning coach Swinney, I just feel like I had to answer that, and I had to pull the trigger.” Bradley said. “There’s nothing better that. I just felt really good about what they were telling me and all that and I felt like it was the right time to make it all official.”

Bradley has long had a vested interest in Clemson, but with Garrett Riley being hired to run the offense following the 2022 season, that interest really soared.

“Coach Riley and coach Swinney, we all had long conversations (Wednesday) and I told them that that’s where I wanted to be,” Bradley added. “Me and Coach Swinney stayed on the phone for a while and talked about a lot of things. It was just great to let them know and I know they were super excited.”

However, there’s not just one reason that Bradley feels Clemson is the right fit. Multiple factors played into the decision.

“Number one, I think Coach Swinney is a one-of-a-kind head coach in college football today,” said Bradley. “Number two, I want to play for coach Riley. I feel like he values an athletic quarterback in his system, and I feel like that’s what I bring to the table. So I’m excited for that. And then number three is just the location. It’s only four hours away from me. I know my parents want to come watch. The distance and being so close was another factor that played a role in my decision.”

Bradley enters his junior season of high school looking to build on a strong sophomore campaign that saw him throw for 1,845 yards and 22 touchdowns, while completing 61% of his pass attempts.

He also becomes the second quarterback take in the 2026 class for the Tigers, but at the end of the day, that didn’t factor into the decision. Bradley is just looking for the opportunity to compete and he wants to be able to do it at the highest level.

“Not really at all,” Bradley said. “I feel like I have to compete anywhere in college football today, so why not compete with the best.”
