CLEMSON — The 2024 season is a very expectant time, as so many players are challenging themselves to improve on the season before and finally get back to work. Such is the case for the 14th-ranked Clemson Tigers.

One specific Tiger, receiver Adam Randall, has had quite the journey up to now. His career has been marked by many injuries, including an ACL tear during the spring of his freshman year, and a slow progression to where he truly wants to be at in his career.

Now, entering a new year following a 250-yard campaign in 2023, Randall is looking for a big jump and believes he can get there.

“I’m just looking to play confident and be confident in the system,” Randall said of his expectations. “Last year, I really didn’t start out well, so I want to start fast and continue it out through the season.”

Such are the desires for the junior, who is surrounded by a plethora of talent in the receiver room, including Antonio Williams, Tyler Brown, Troy Stellato, and many more. With defensive attention being spread across a great room of many receivers, Randall absolutely can have a great year.

“I got more comfortable within the offense, built some confidence up, built some rapport with Cade [Klubnik], and kind of got our confidence back,” he said.

Not only is the connection between his fellow receivers important, but his relationship on the field with junior quarterback Cade Klubnik. With Klubnik’s reported progression and growth through the summer and fall camps, the two look more locked in than ever.

“Having a new offense come in, I kind of had to learn all the offense live during fall camp, and it just kind of jumbled my mind up a little bit,” Randall said. “Once I got it down, I felt like I was able to take off.”

The 2024 season is the time for Randall to truly take off, and that starts on Saturday (Noon, ABC) against top-ranked Georgia in the Aflac Kickoff Classic from Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.
