CLEMSON — The 14 th -ranked Clemson Tigers gear up for their Week 1 matchup against the top-ranked Georgia Bulldogs at Mercedes Benz stadium in Atlanta.

Quarterback Cade Klubnik is gearing up for his junior season and spoke to the media regarding his deeper connection with his team heading into the season and his emotions heading into the season opener.

–Klubnik told his teammates on Monday, “If you’re waking up with a different energy today than you have been, we’ve been doing fall camp wrong.” He went on to explain that regardless of it being Georgia week, the intensity should remain identical from the past couple weeks of fall camp. “I woke up the same way I did the last four weeks.”

–Klubnik also addressed the consistent growth of chemistry amongst the offense, as he returns for second year as the starter. “Quality relationships take time.”

–Klubnik talked about his excitement and enthusiasm heading into a season with an offense that he played with the previous year. Heading into this season he felt a more “deeper and more meaningful relationship.” He continued by saying that they will “naturally grow deeper” over time.

–Klubnik explained how his bond with his guys has strengthened since last season saying he has the “ability to go up to my guys up front and talk about stuff that might be uncomfortable at times.”
