A Clemson transfer took to social media Monday with some bad injury-related news.

Former Tiger wide receiver Brannon Spector announced that he will be sidelined for this entire season after suffering a “severe” elbow injury.

Following five years at Clemson, Spector entered the portal this past January before transferring to Jacksonville State.

“Making the decision to transfer to Jax State and finish off my last season of college football was an opportunity I was super excited for. I unfortunately suffered a severe elbow injury that will keep me out for the entire season,” Spector wrote in a post on X (formerly Twitter).

“As I’m extremely disappointed by this injury, I can’t thank Jax State enough for taking a chance on me. I look forward to cheering on and encouraging my teammates for the rest of the season. Go Gamecocks!”

Spector recorded 38 catches for 372 yards and two touchdowns and had two rushes for 21 yards during his career as a Tiger from 2019-23.

The 6-foot-1, 205-pounder had four catches for 25 yards while playing 82 total snaps over 10 games last season. He missed a few games due to injury down the stretch of the season before returning for the Gator Bowl vs. Kentucky and playing five snaps.

Spector, the brother of former Clemson linebacker Baylon Spector and son of former Clemson receiver Robbie Spector, enrolled at Clemson back in January 2019.

A limited number of signed footballs from Clemson’s 2022 class are still available.  Get yours while supplies last!  Visit Clemson Variety & Frame or purchase online!
