Swinney gives Update on 2 Injured Players

CLEMSON — Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney gave an update on two injured players during Tuesday’s press conference to preview the Tigers’ home opener against App State on Saturday (8 p.m., ACCN).

Swinney said backup offensive lineman Trent Howard, who did not dress in last Saturday’s loss to Georgia, is doing better.

“He was not ready to go the other day. He is probably close this week,” Swinney said. “We should get him back soon.”

Swinney also said running back Jarvis Green is back at practice. It is good to get him back rolling. (Monday) night was his first practice, so we are still working him back through practice protocol. So, we will see where he is after a few practices.”
