CLEMSON – The 25 th -ranked Clemson Tigers look to turn the page Saturday after last week’s loss to No. 1 Georgia. The Tigers will host App State at Memorial Stadium for the first home game of the 2024 season.

Safety Rj Mickens spoke with the media to preview the upcoming matchup against the Mountaineers.

–After the loss to Georgia, there are questions on what the outcome of this season will look like for Clemson. Within the team, they seem have no doubt on what this team can do. Mickens said, “We really know what we have and we just have to stay inside out. That’s really how we eliminate doubt.”

–By staying “inside out”, Mickens said the Tigers look to “Stay out of the rearview mirror and just move forward and focus on App State and put our best performance on the field this Saturday.”

–Mickens told the media he has taken a dive into the film for App State so far and noticed “they’re a really good team” and their quarterback, Joey Agular, is a “really good ball player, makes plays and improvises.” He added Clemson needs to be “prepared just like we are playing Georgia, keep the standard the same.”

-A night game is Memorial Stadium brings excitement for the graduate. He said, “There’s no atmosphere like Death Valley. It’s really special, especially in a night game…it’s a huge reason on what makes this place so special is night games in the valley. Mickens said he is excited and looking forward to getting back in “the valley” on Saturday.

Clemson and App State are set for an 8 p.m. kick (ACCN) at Memorial Stadium this Saturday.
