Heading into Week 2 of the college football season, ESPN analyst Dan Mullen weighed in on which Tigers team – Clemson or LSU — he’s more concerned about moving forward.

The 25 th -ranked Clemson squad is coming off a 34-3 loss to No. 1 Georgia in Atlanta last Saturday, while No. 18 LSU suffered a 27-20 loss to No. 13 Southern Cal on Sunday in Las Vegas.

Mullen, the former Florida and Mississippi State head coach, said he’s more concerned about the ACC’s Tigers than he is about the Bayou Bengals.

“Clemson did not look good,” Mullen said during halftime of Friday night’s game between SMU and BYU.

“I know they played Georgia, one of the top defenses in the country. But Cade Klubnik does not look like he’d taken a step forward from last year to this year. They struggled pushing the ball down the field. They played great defense in the first half, but really got worn down because of the lack of offense in the second half. So, I have a lot of concerns about Clemson getting into the playoff this year.”

The Tigers will try to bounce back from the lopsided loss to the Bulldogs when they take on Appalachian State in Death Valley tonight (8 p.m., ACC Network).
