CLEMSON – Clemson remains undefeated in ACC play after its win over Stanford last week. The 15 th -ranked Tigers head to Tallahassee, Fla., this week looking to continue to streak at Florida State.

Tight end Olsen Patt-Henry spoke with the media earlier this week and shared his feeling on his first career touchdown, improvements he has made, and much more.

–In the game against Stanford last Saturday at Memorial Stadium, Patt-Henry caught two passes for 24 yards and collected his first career touchdown. He said, “it was an unreal moment” and that he gives “all glory to God for that happening and Coach [Garrett] Riley trusting me to go make that play.”

–In his second season with the Tigers, Patt-Henry wanted to work on “being a complete tight end and want to be dominant and seeing the field.” He mentioned former Clemson tight end Jordan Leggett and Dwayne Allen and said, “you can see why they are at where they are because of what they’ve done not only in the passing game, but also in the blocking game.” Allen and Leggett both played in the NFL after their Clemson careers.

–Patt-Henry told the media that the addition of offensive line coach Matt Luke has been beneficial for him in learning how to block to take the next step in his game. He said, “having coach Luke was very helpful” and that Coach Luke and Coach Richardson “make it easier for us to know who we’re blocking.”

–The sophomore spoke highly of senior tight end Jake Briningstool. He said that Briningstool and “has done a lot for us” and emphasizes what it takes to be a great tight end for the Tigers to get to the next level. He added that Briningstool is “a great leader on and off the field.”

–This is the first time Clemson will play a true road game this season as they head to Florida State (7 p.m., ESPN). Patt-Henry said to keep the high energy, it “comes with preparations.” He mentioned that the team needs to stay consistent with the preparation and “as long as we keep preparing how we’ve been preparing I think we’ll be fine on the road.”
