CLEMSON — Clemson kept its win streak rolling in ACC play after defeating Virginia, 48-31, at Memorial Stadium on Saturday.

Tight end Olsen Patt-Henry spoke with the media after the game to recap his performance and more.

–The Tigers were down early in the game against the Cavilers but found a way to score 35 unanswered points. Patt-Henry said they took control of the game by “believing in each other.” The sophomore said, “We know what type of brotherhood we have and we’re going to trust each other no matter what.”

–There were multiple personal foul and unsportsmanlike conduct penalties from both teams in the game. The Cavilers eventually had one player, Ben Smiley III, ejected from the game after he threw a punch. When asked if the game was chippy down on the field, Patt-Henry replied, “No, I think we just got overly competitive. Just guys competing, just being us.”

–Patt-Henry finished the game with two catches for 51 yards and two touchdowns. Following his best game this season. He said, “It feels really good, but I just allow myself not to get complacent because there’s always more out there…I’m going to enjoy the win today, but I have to remember we have to get back Sunday, watch the tape, and just prepare for Louisville.”

–Clemson enters its second bye week of the season. Patt-Henry said the Tigers plan to win the bye week by having the “same preparation, recovery and do the same things we’ve been doing for the whole seven weeks we’ve been playing.”
