    Colorado's top-20 high school football players based on recruiting rankings

    The 2024 high school football season is just getting underway but recruiting is in full swing.

    The state of Colorado's 2025 class (who are starting their senior seasons) have spent the summer at various camps and recruiting trips. Many of the top college football recruits in the state have already committed to their next school. The first opportunity for this class to officially sign is in December.

    Here is a look at Colorado's top recruits in the state in the 2025 class. Ratings are based on the "Top247" ranking from 247Sports.

    Tanner Terch

    • High school: Heritage
    • Recruiting ranking: 3 stars
    • College: Committed to Nebraska
    • Notable: The receiver (who is listed as an "athlete" by 247Sports) caught 55 passes for 876 yards and eight touchdowns as a junior in 2023. He was honorable mention all-state in Class 5A.

    Marcus Mozer

    • High school: Fossil Ridge
    • Recruiting ranking: 3 stars
    • College: Committed to San Diego State
    • Notable: Mozer has played both sides of the ball and had 54 catches for 940 yards and nine touchdowns last season as a junior. He also had nearly 500 kick return yards and was honorable mention all-state in Class 5A. Mozer had an excellent performance at the 2024 Colorado state track meet. He finished second in Class 5A in the long jump (22-feet, 11 inches), fourth in the 200-meter dash (21.73 seconds) and sixth in the 100 dash (10.85 seconds).

    Zayne DeSouza

    • High school: Loveland
    • Recruiting ranking: 3 stars
    • College: Committed to Colorado
    • Notable: The tight end had 19 catches for 330 yards and a touchdown in 2023 as a junior.

    Soren Shinofield

    • High school: Cherry Creek
    • Recruiting ranking: 3 stars
    • College: Committed to Utah
    • Notable: The offensive lineman helped Cherry Creek to a 13-1 record in 2023 as a junior and will be a key piece in another charge for the title.

    Aiden Knapke

    • High school: Cherry Creek
    • Recruiting ranking: 3 stars
    • College: Committed to Washington State
    • Notable: The safety was second-team All-State in 5A as a junior in 2023. He had 104 tackles and four interceptions.

    Mikhail Benner

    • High school: Broomfield
    • Recruiting ranking: 3 stars
    • College: Committed to Air Force
    • Notable: The cornerback had 41 tackles and two interceptions as a junior in 2023 and was second-team All-State in Class 4A.

    Austyn Modrzewski

    • High school: Mountain Vista
    • Recruiting ranking: 3 stars
    • College: He has reported offers from Kentucky, Eastern Kentucky and South Dakota, according to 247Sports.
    • Notable: The quarterback was named Colorado's Gatorade Player of the Year in 2023. He completed 70% of his passes for 3,675 yards, 41 touchdowns and seven interceptions in a first-team All-State season. He also ran for more than 300 yards and five more touchdowns.

    Keegan Perea

    • High school: Cherry Creek
    • Recruiting ranking: 3 stars
    • College: Committed to Nevada
    • Notable: The defensive end/linebacker had 81 tackles, 6.5 tackles for loss and five sacks as a junior in 2023.

    Jordan Rechel

    • High school: Fairview
    • Recruiting ranking: 3 stars
    • College: He has reported offers from Colorado and New Mexico, according to 247Sports.
    • Notable: The receiver had 50 catches for 776 yards and nine touchdowns as a junior in 2023 and was first-team All-State in Class 5A.

    Aidan Martin

    • High school: Northfield
    • Recruiting ranking: 3 stars
    • College: Committed to Wyoming
    • Notable: The offensive lineman helped Northfield to an 8-4 season in 2023.

    Jeremiah Hoffman

    • High school: Cherry Creek
    • Recruiting ranking: 3 stars
    • College: Committed to Charlotte
    • Notable: The receiver had 64 catches for 943 yards and 12 touchdowns in 2023 and was honorable mention all-state in Class 3A at Severance, but he has now transferred to Cherry Creek.

    Cade Brook

    • High school: Cherokee Trail
    • Recruiting ranking: 3 stars
    • College: He has a reported offer from Washington State and has received interest from Colorado State and Wyoming, according to 247Sports.
    • Notable: The edge rusher had 47 tackles, five tackles-for-loss and a sack as a junior in 2023.

    Dominic Henning

    • High school: Grandview
    • Recruiting ranking: 3 stars
    • College: He has a reported offer from Air Force, according to 247Sports.
    • Notable: The tight end had 22 catches for 325 yards and three touchdowns as a junior in 2023.

    Jaden Lawrence

    • High school: Legend
    • Recruiting ranking: 3 stars
    • College: Committed to Wyoming
    • Notable: The running back had a whopping 222 carries for 1,403 yards (6.3 yards per carry) and 19 touchdowns as a junior in 2023. He was second-team All-State in Class 5A.

    Jackson Blanchard

    • High school: Castle View
    • Recruiting ranking: 3 stars
    • College: He has reported offers from Air Force and Army and a number of other schools are showing interest, according to 247Sports.
    • Notable: The tight end had 27 catches for 376 yards and six touchdowns as a junior in 2023.

    Court Towns

    • High school: Palmer Ridge
    • Recruiting ranking: 3 stars
    • College: He has reported offers from Air Force and Army, according to 247Sports.
    • Notable: The offensive lineman was second-team All-State in Class 4A in 2023 as a junior.

    Elvin Ampofo

    • High school: Eaglecrest
    • Recruiting ranking: 3 stars
    • College: Committed to North Dakota State
    • Notable: The safety had 74 tackles, 2.5 tackles-for-loss and eight passes defensed as a junior in 2023.

    Cole Powell

    • High school: Erie
    • Recruiting ranking: 3 stars
    • College: Committed to Eastern Michigan
    • Notable: The offensive lineman helped Erie to win state title in Class 4A.

    Ned Zilinskas

    • High school: Cherry Creek
    • Recruiting ranking: 3 stars
    • College: He has reported offers from Air Force, Cornell, Dartmouth, Princeton and others, according to 247Sports.
    • Notable: The center was honorable mention all-state in Class 5A as a senior as he helped Cherry Creek go 13-1.

    Jack Heath

    • High school: Mountain Vista
    • Recruiting ranking: 2 stars
    • College: Committed to Navy
    • Notable: The offensive lineman was honorable mention All-State in Class 5A as a junior in 2023.
