Shilo Sanders appears to have undergone surgery to repair a forearm injury he suffered in Saturday's loss to Nebraska .

The Colorado safety left the game in the first quarter after tackling Nebraska running back Dante Dowdell and headed to the locker room. Colorado head coach Deion Sanders told NBC at halftime that Shilo would not return with what he thinks is a "broken forearm or something like that."

On Monday, Deion Sanders posted a photo of Shilo in a hospital bed with a caption that read: "God is Good! Can't wait to see u back ready to go. Love ya son!"

Shilo Sanders had nine tackles in Colorado's season-opening win over North Dakota State. He was replaced by sophomore defensive back Carter Stoutmire (five tackles vs. Nebraska) after leaving Saturday's game early.

It's unclear just how long Shilo will be out of the lineup, but either Stoutmire or Vanderbilt transfer Savion Riley will step in for the Buffs' leading tackler from last season.
