    Motorcyclist killed in South Linden crash, thrown from bike, Columbus police say

    A motorcyclist died in a crash in South Linden Thursday, Columbus police say.

    The driver was northbound about 5:29 p.m. on Cleveland Avenue passing Chittenden Avenue when a southbound Honda Fit on Cleveland Avenue made a left turn on Chittenden Avenue.

    The vehicles collided at the intersection, and the motorcycle rider was thrown from the motorcycle, according to a Columbus police media release. The motorcycle rider was transported to a local hospital and pronounced dead at 6:29 p.m.

    Police have not released the identity of the rider. The Columbus police accident investigation unit is investigating the cause of the crash, which has not been determined.
