Happy Monday!

I am already in my post-Olympics depression, patiently waiting for the Paralympic Games in a few weeks and Milano Cortina in 2026.

One thing that is on a much shorter timeline is back-to-school season. Most Central Ohio school districts and colleges will welcome back students over the next two weeks.

As summer vacation draws to a close, I like to survey Extra Credit readers every August on what you want to see The Dispatch report on this school year.

• Columbus City Schools administrators warned Tuesday that there may be busing problems at the beginning of the coming school year as the district only has three-fourths of its goal for bus drivers.
• Columbus is also reversing its policy of providing take-home Chromebook laptops to younger students, citing unsustainable loss and breakage.
• The Ohio School Boards Association was the latest victim of a cyberattack last week, forcing the organization representing over 700 school boards across the state to sever its connection to the internet.
