    Vote for the top DL in Columbus area entering 2024 Ohio high school football season

    Who is the best defensive lineman in the Columbus area entering the 2024 Ohio high school football season ? The Dispatch has revealed its top 10 central Ohio DLs , and now it's your turn to vote.

    Make your selection of the area's best defensive lineman and be sure to read all of our preview coverage of the OHSAA season at Dispatch.com . That includes lists of the best players in the area in 2024, including the top seniors , top juniors , top sophomores , top quarterbacks , top running backs and top wide receivers/tight ends .

    The DL poll will close at noon Aug. 20. Here are details on each player, followed by the poll.

    • Keishaun Calhoun, Groveport: 42 tackles in 2023, including 11 for loss and 5 ½ sacks
    • Javion Jones-Cunningham, South: 15 tackles for loss, 8 sacks, 1 defensive TD, 2 forced fumbles
    • Jalen Joyce, Groveport: 69 tackles, 26 for loss, 9 ½ sacks
    • Tyreek Lewis, Northland: 51 tackles, 14 for loss, 11 sacks, 1 forced fumble, 2 fumble recoveries
    • Braddock Lusher, Grandview Heights: 97 tackles, 27 for loss, 5 ½ sacks
    • Holtz Maine, Fairbanks: 66 tackles, 17 for loss, 11 sacks, 1 forced fumble, 1 fumble recovery
    • Ty Neubert, DeSales: 42 tackles, 12 for loss, 3 sacks; now 4-year starter
    • Talil Spikes, Africentric: 60 tackles, 32 for loss, 15 sacks, 1 forced fumble, 1 fumble recovery, 1 blocked FG
    • Daniel Stephens, Olentangy: 63 tackles – 33 solo and 24 for loss – with 11 sacks
    • Cal Thrush, Upper Arlington: Michigan State commit led UA to regional final as edge rusher
