One dead in motorcyle, SUV collision on Columbus' North Side, other driver arrested

One person is dead following a crash on Columbus' North Side.

A Columbus police dispatcher confirmed a collision between a motorcycle and an SUV took place at around 7:45 p.m. Monday at North High Street and East Kelso Road.

One driver in the collision was pronounced dead at a local hospital at 8:30 p.m.

A suspect in the crash was arrested, though the dispatcher could not say who or what they were charged with.

It's also not clear what led up to the crash. Police Sgt. Joe Albert told WBNS that the person arrested was the driver of the SUV and that he was charged with a DUI after leaving the scene of the crash.
