Bistrolino , a German Village restaurant offering a hybrid of Italian and Lebanese cuisines, will close its doors Aug. 23, the owners announced Friday on social media.

"We cannot thank the German Village community and our customers enough for the last 5 yrs. Thank you for making us feel right at home from the very start," the post on Instagram begins.

The post goes on to attribute the closing of the 495 S. Fourth St. restaurant to "inconceivable differences with the landlord" that have "left us no choice but to leave with our lease expiring."

Bistrolino was opened in late 2019 by Samer Chedid and Francesco Todisco, taking over the space formerly occupied by Harvest Pizzeria and Curio.

Restaurant openings and closings: 19 Columbus-area restaurants opened and 10 closed recently

The message ends on a more positive note: "However, this isn't goodbye, it's a see you later. We hope we can bring Bistrolino back one day but in the meantime, we will be opening a new high-end sports bar/lounge on Gay St. We are hoping to begin operations by the end of September."
