A wanted fugitive and kidnapping suspect who escaped from a Lancaster hospital while being escorted by police two months ago was arrested Friday in northwest Ohio, the U.S. Marshals announced in a media release.

Quinntel Bagley, 38, was arrested in Lima, Ohio, located in Allen County, in the 400 block of Cornell Drive. He is in custody at the Allen County jail, where he will stay pending an extradition hearing, according to the U.S. Marshals. The Ohio State Highway Patrol, Allen County Sheriff's Department, the Lima police department, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation assisted in Bagley's arrest.

Michael D. Black, a United States marshal for Ohio's Southern District, told The Dispatch Friday that they received "a good tip" on Bagley's location, and said that Bagley had a female friend in Lima who lived at the home where he was hiding out. Black said that while there was no resistance from Bagley, responding officers had to enter the home to apprehend him.

Black said there was evidence that Bagley had been driven up to Lima by at least one friend, and that person may be facing charges pending an investigation. Black was unable to say what kind of charges the person or people would face.

Bagley was arrested June 13 by Fairfield County Sheriff's deputies on charges of kidnapping and burglary charges involving his ex-girlfriend. Bagley was being treated at the Fairfield Medical Center for injuries he sustained while trying to harm himself, according to Grove City police.

Police said after escaping from custody, Bagley broke into a home on the 700 block of Pleasantville Road in Lancaster near the hospital by climbing through an unlocked second floor window, then came downstairs and surprised a woman and her children. The intimidated woman gave Bagley the keys to her 2019 Hyundai Sante Fe, and Bagley took her purse and drove off, according to a witness.

Bagley had last been seen in Columbus' Hilltop area in the early morning of Aug. 2 after kidnapping the same woman he had kidnapped in June. The woman told police that Bagley had kidnapped her from her home for the second time in Grove City and drove her over to the Hilltop area. The female victim said she escaped from Bagley unharmed, and that she last saw him near Eureka Avenue and West Broad Street, according to Grove City police.
